Abstract
967,636. Rotary fluid pumps and engines. P. MONGITORE. March 6, 1961 [March 11, 1960; July 14, 1960; Nov. 28, 1960; Feb. 16, 1961], No. 8112/61. Heading F1F. A rotary fluid pump or engine of the type having a hollow rotational body rotating about an axis and a disc rotating about axis inclined to the body axis, comprises a plurality of part-spherical concentric surfaces 4, 5a, Fig. 4, on a conical surface 6 and a ring-shaped disc 7 radially slotted to provide sectors supported by arms 8 secured to a shaft 85 which through gearing 93 is connected to a shaft 87. The shafts 85, 87 instead of being connected by gearing may be connected by a universal joint. The number of part-spherical surfaces need not - be limited to two and the conical surface may be stepped back (Fig. 7, not shown), to reduce the width of the machine.
