A catamaran has collapsible hulls 1 and 2, each comprising a framework covered by a skin and having keel sheer, joined by a collapsible bridge formed of transverse members 3 and 4 joined to the hulls by detachable fittings 6 and braced by diagonal members 5 joined to the members 3 and 4 by slots 8 and hinges 7. The bridge is covered above with a collapsible grating 9 and covered below by a waterproof fabric. A stowage space is provided in front of the member 4, which forms a bulkhead, and when the catamaran is used as a sailing craft a mast 14 and a boom 15, which supports a cover 16, is also provided. The catamaran may be propelled by a motor.
