Abstract

931,546. Bed settees. W. J. HALL. Dec. 9, 1959 [Oct. 15, 1958], No. 32980/58. Class 52 (2). Hinged seat and back frames 8, 14 are supported on a base member 3 by crossed links 4, 5 mounted on the member by a fixed pivot 12 and a pin 10 engaging slot 11. For conversion, connecting bar 24 is depressed by the foot so that pin 10 rides up slot 11 and back frame 14 pivots to unfold leg 22. Flanges 16 and 17 coact to provide stops to maintain the settee in the seat or the bed position. Springs may be connected to the links to load them in either position of the settee.
