930,707. Fexible ladders. K. C. MACLEOD. Feb. 8, 1962 [Feb. 27, 1961], No. 4950/62. Class 20 (2). A tubular rung 16 is secured to the side rope 12 of a flexible ladder, which passes through holes in the rung, by an apertured block 30 inside the rung surrounding the rope to which it is secured by a set-screw 36, clamping members 42, 44 being interposed between the rope and the block and the rope and the setscrew respectively. The clamping members 42, 44 have teeth to grip the rope. The rungs are of square cross-section.
