Class 20(2) A ladder comprises channel-shaped steps 1 attached to a pair of ropes 4, 5 at each end passing through recesses in the steps and clamped by a screw 8 between an angle member 7 and a tubular member 6 fixed in the flanges of the step and protruding from one side of the step to hold the ladder away from a ship's side.
