An epicyclic reduction gear comprises a driving shaft 2, to which a sun gear 6 is secured, a driven shaft 3, to which a sun gear 15 is secured, and a planet carrier formed by discs 5 rotatably mounted on the driving shaft 2, the drive being transmitted from sun gear 6 to gear 15 through planet gears 7, 12 and 14 and the reaction being provided by planet gears 9, 11 and 111 on shafts 10 meshing planet gears 7 and fixed gears 4, 41 respectively. Planet gears 9, 12 have diameters and numbers of teeth equal to those of sun gear 6. Gear 15 has a diameter slightly larger than that of stationary gears 4, 41.
