Abstract
1,067,164. Toothed gearing. AURORA GEARING CO. (WILMOT NORTH) Ltd. Aug. 12, 1964 [Aug. 24, 1963], No. 33615/63. Heading F2Q. A reduction gear-box having a sleeve 1 for mounting on a shaft to be driven thereby or for flange mounting has pairs of meshing reduction gears 1A - 14B, 14A - 13B, 13A-12B, 12A-11B, alternately outside and inside of the circular gearbox walls 16, 17, which may be integral or welded together with a peripheral resilient moulding 6 for resilient mounting of the gear-box by a flange 22 and for carrying a fibre glass or plastics end cover 8 and end plate 26. Any of the gears 11B, 12A, 13B or 14B may alternatively be used as an input with their shafts suitably extended through oil seals in the end plate 26. The input shaft may be driven from a motor through a chain, V-belt or internally toothed belt tensioned by an adjustable torque arm attached to a gear-box stud 10.
