900,986. Buildings; metal sections; panels. SMITH, C. A. V. Sept. 22, 1959 [Sept. 24, 1958], No. 30548/58. Classes 20 (1), 20 (2) and 87 (1). A building comprises walls and a roof formed of sheet-metal panel assemblies each comprising panels 1 of channel-form connected together by an upper angle-member 7 and a lower channel member 8 and having their flanges 2, 3 bolted together to stress the assembly. The webs 1 may be curved and the flange 3 may have a margin 4 and lip 5. The flanges 2, 3 may form angles of 95 degrees with the web leaving a longitudinal gap between the panels into which mastic is inserted. Various section strips are used to complete the building. Thus the roof is formed between two angle-sections 14 at the ridge and a sectional eaves filler 12. A capping section 19 covers the ridge. Corners may be provided by panels with curved or rectangular webs. Stiffening tubes may be inserted within the corner panels.
