Abstract

999,829. Skirting strips for buildings. JAMES BOOTH ALUMINIUM Ltd. May 20, 1963 [May 25, 1962], No. 20124/62. Heading E1V. An extruded skirting strip 10 comprises an upper portion 22 having a longitudinally extending recess 23 which receives a sealing bead 26 which engages the wall 20 of the building, and a curved lower portion 13 having a longitudinally extending recess 12 adapted to receive an edge of one or more floor panels 11. The wall 14 of the recess 12 has a reduced thickness portion 28 to facilitate inward bending of the wall 14 to grip the panel 11.
