Class 100(4) In a mechanism for feeding superposed webs, in which carbon strips 22a are fed by the frictional engagement of record strips 23 but are released at a slower speed, a pin wheel 111a driven by gearing 14-17 from a platen 10 engages the stationery both before and after it passes the platen. Guides 18, 19 keep the stationery in engagement with the pin wheel. A pin wheel are provided for both edges of the record sheet and may be adjustable along the mounting shaft 111 for different sheet widths and the shaft 111 may be adjustable towards and away from the platen in order that the tension of the stationery can be varied. In modifications the pin wheel is replaced by endless pin bands or chains. Specifications 634,692, 848,790, 848,794, 848,795 and 848,797 are referred to.
