Abstract

945,611. Typewriters &c. ALACRA Ltd. March 10, 1961 [Dec. 11, 1959], No. 42249/59. Addition to 885,688. Heading B6F. In apparatus for feeding superposed webs of record material 202 interleaved with duplicating or carbon webs around the platen 201 of a typewriter or like machine and wherein means are provided for releasing the carbon webs for feeding at a speed substantially less than that of the record material, the feed is effected by a pinwheel 200, or one such at each margin of the record webs which engages the webs both before and after their passage over the platen, and the pins of which are projected from the wheel 200 by suitable cam means at the two points of engagement. An idler pin-wheel 205 and an adjustable grooved wheel 206 are provided for the webs at the infeed side, and a smoother 208 and stripper 209 are provided at the outfeed side. The pin-wheel 200 has a diameter approximately twice that of the platen and its shaft 111 is adjustable towards and away from the platen. Specifications 408,125, 634,692, 848,797 and 941,881 also are referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 757,302.
