Abstract
885,551. Protective arrangements. KLINE, H. J. Dec. 21, 1959, No. 43370/59. Class 38 (4). [Also in Groups XXIV and XXXVII] A current and voltage regulator for a D.C. generator 352 comprises two snap-action switches 331, 354 (see Group XXXVII), one 331 acting as a current relay, and the other as a voltage relay. If the current rises to a predetermined value, a " hot wire " 332 expands and contacts 344 open and insert a resistance 380 in the field circuit. If now the voltage increases to a predetermined value, increased current through a " hot wire " 356 causes it to expand, and contacts 372 open to put a higher resistance 382 in the field circuit.
