Abstract

885,538. Resilient couplings. GELENKWELLENBAU G.m.b.H. July 3, 1959 [Jan. 27, 1959], No. 22961/59. Class 80 (2). A coupling between a propeller shaft and universal joint comprises annular rubber elements 3, 4 between inner and outer sleeves 5, 8, 11,12 the inner 5, 8 of which are bolted to flanges 1, 2 on the propeller shaft and universal joint respectively whilst the outer sleeves 11, 12 are bolted together at 15 or connected by a coupling ring, Fig. 2 (not shown). The coupling is centred by a polyamide ring 18 between the members 16, 17 fast with the shaft and joint respectively.
