[Also in Group XXV] A washer of elastomeric material, e.g. polyethylene filled with carbon black, comprises an apertured boss A with an annular flange F curving into a substantially axially-extending part H ending at a sealing bead J disposed below the lowermost edge K of the boss. The upper edge D of the boss is bevelled away from aperture B and projections C serve to seal the threads of a co-operating bolt and to hold the bolt and washer assembled together before use.
