Abstract

1,170,575. Container closures. W. SATZ. 6 May, 1968, No. 21428/68. Heading B8T. A closure seal for a container comprises a rim on the container with an annular, radially outwardly convex camming portion 16 and a flat sealing surface 18, and a closure lid having a flat sealing portion 21 and an annular, radially inwardly convex camming portion 30 which engages with the corresponding portion on the rim. A sealing liner 36 of resilient material is provided to form a tight seal and the lid can be removed by finger pressure or by an opener (42), Fig. 1 (not shown).
