Abstract

868,523. Closure caps. MOSS Ltd., ROBERT, and MOSS, R. R. March 11, 1960 [Dec. 12, 1958], No. 40210/58. Class 125(3). A closure cap 16 for a container 10 holding pressurized liquid, has a flat top 18 integral with a flexible cylindrical skirt 19. The inner surface of the skirt is formed with radial vanes 20 which exert a frictional grip on the neck 14 of the container. The top 18 of the cap is stiffened by radial ribs 21 which may be formed integral with the vanes 20. The lower edge of the skirt fits into a shallow recess within the beading 13 about the top of the container 10.
