Abstract

866,552. Centrifugal separators. GREEN & SON Ltd., E. Aug. 27, 1959 [Aug. 28, 1958; Aug. 17, 1959], Nos. 27710/58 and 28107/59. Class 23 A dust separator has a mechanically operated device 8 for scraping the interior of its gas outlet tube 6, the device being completely withdrawable from the tube. A number of separaters mounted in rows on a partition 2 separating an inlet chamber 3 from a gas outlet chamber 4 have tangential inlets and discharge dust into pipes 15. A device 8 is guided into its tube by members 14, and comprises a wire coil connected by a stem 9 to a rock arm 11 to which is also pivoted a wire scraper 16 for removing deposits from a vertically adjacent separator.
