Abstract

757,584. Centrifugal separators. SVIT. NARODNI PODNIK. Dec. 23, 1954, No. 37180/54. Class 23. A dust separator comprises a housing 11 having outlets covered by filters 15, a plurality of cyclones 4 within the housing, and an inlet 1 passing through the housing and connected to the tangential inlets of the cyclones. A fan (not shown) placed in the inlet or within the housing between the axial outlets 6 of the cyclones and the outlets of the housing. The efficiency of separation of the cyclones is controlled by axially adjustable sleeves 9. The filters are easily removable from the housing, and consist of oiled, metal shavings enclosed in metal casings. The dust discharged from the cyclones is collected in a removable container 13.
