Abstract
866,186. Gas-blast switches. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. Sept. 29, 1959 [Oct. 13, 1958], No. 33002/59. Class 38 (5). An air-blast circuit-breaker, generally similar to that of Specification 838,041, has an opening 10 covered by a diaphragm 9 in the outlet channel 5 from the nozzle contact 2, the arrangement being such that should the breaking arc persist after closure of the blocking valve 6, the pressure increase ruptures the diaphragm 9 to allow the hot gases to escape. The container 1 may be supplied with compressed air in the breaker-open position, or may be permanently filled with compressed air.
