859,087. Dry shavers. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Jan. 14, 1957 [Jan. 17, 1956], No. 34800/60. Divided out of 859,085. Class 131 A dry shaver comprises a shear plate 1 and an inner rotary cutter 4 held in cutting co-operation by resilient elements 12 acting between a part 2 of the housing and a rim 11 on the shear plate, the plate and the cutter being tiltable together to an extent limited by a stop 3. The embodiment shown is a modification of the dry shaver disclosed in Specification 859,085 and the cutter is coupled to the drive shaft 6 by a universal joint as disclosed in Specification 859,086. Specification 762,438 also is referred to.
