Abstract

852,467. Loom shedding mechanisms. METAPIC S. A. HOLDING LUXEMBOURGEOISE. Dec. 14, 1956 [Dec. 17, 1955], No. 38268/56. Class 142(2). The angle of the shed given to some of the warp threads can be adjusted while the loom is operating by moving some of the shedding levers relative to their shedding cams. A shedding lever 1 is depressed by a cam 4 and pivots about a point 2, the heald frame being connected to the end 3 of the shedding lever. The pivot 2 is moved by screw adjustment to a position 21 whereby the lift of the corresponding heald frame is altered from a distance H to a distance h. The lift of individual frames may be varied or the healds may be divided into groups and the lift of a whole group may be varied.
