Abstract

842,595. Dispensing articles. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Nov. 12, 1956 [Aug. 10, 1955], No. 23093/55. Class 78 (1). Washers for feeding to a powered screwdriver fall down flexible tube 26 from a hopper and are discharged therefrom by pusher strip 35 reciprocated by arm 43, driven either manually or by a moving part of the screw-driver. Each washer advances beneath vertical spring- biased rod 28 (which serves to prevent a double discharge) and falls down tube 39 on to pivoted gate 51. The latter is rotated downwardly by the upward movement of rod 57, operated by the screw-driver so that the washer falls down to point 59, the corresponding screw being fed through shoot 61 to point 62.
