840,234. Corsets &c. CHAMPNESS & SONS Ltd., W. Nov. 13, 1958 [Nov. 16, 1957], No. 35748/57. Class 141 In a corset or abdominal belt a permanent lining 12 of woollen fabric is provided in at least the back panel or panels 10. The woollen lining is secured to the associated panel 10 by the binding which extends along the top and bottom edges of the garment and along the junctions between the panels. An intermediate open-weave (or knit) lining 11 of nylon or other man-made fibres may be provided between each cotton panel 10 and the wool flannel lining 12. In a lace-front corset comprising three wool-lined back panels 10, stiffeners 20 covered by canvas 16 and flannel 17 are provided at the junctions between the panels.
