Class 75(2) An indirect illuminating device comprises a light source D, a main reflector E below the light source for reflecting the light upwards, an annular reflector F above and co-axial with the reflector E for reflecting the light downwards and outwards, the reflectors being so arranged that a small quantity of light will pass out between them without reflection and emerge above normal eye level, some light will be reflected at a glancing angle but none will be reflected back towards the source. The reflector E may have a central aperture below which is located a reflector J which may have a central conical part K. A flared reflector L may also be arranged above the reflector F and surrounding the lamp holder A and supporting rods or wires may be provided for the whole system of reflectors.
