Abstract

838,014. Bracelets. RODI & WIENENBERGER A.G. July 13, 1956 [Aug. 17, 1955], No. 21689/56. Class 43 An elastic link band comprises parallel links 2 arranged in series transversely to the length of the band and connected by members 7 engaged within transverse openings of two adjacent links and compressed by leaf springs 20 within the links. The connecting members have their backs arranged parallel to the longitudinal sides of the band links and close laterally to gaps between the band links when the band is expanded the pairs of backs being connected by a base member beneath the base surface of the links and are staggered in relation to the links and cover each gap between two adjacent band links when the band is expanded. The connecting members have inwardly extending lugs 8 and 9 one pair of which engages the ends of a leaf spring and the other pair contacts a side wall of a link. The leaf spring is bent to an obtuse angle and has a flattened apex, which contacts a side wall of a link. The links 2 comprise upper and lower shells interengaging by a projection with a notch. The slotted ends of the upper shell extend beyond the lower shell so that the backs can slidably engage in the slits. Alternatively a pair of leaf springs in each link is used, Fig. 9. The ends of the springs engage the two pairs of lugs 8 and 9. The connecting member has an inwardly arched base to which a cover 11 is secured.
