Abstract
953,539. Bracelets. MARUMAN CO. Ltd. May 11, 1960, No. 16566/60. Heading A3H. An expanding bracelet comprises two rows of superimposed staggered hollow elements with connecting members of U- section, one limb of each member extending longitudinally of the bracket into an element of the upper row and the other limb extending into the adjacent member of the lower row and blade springs in the elements retained by projections on the side walls. The upper and lower rows of hollow elements A, B are connected by pairs of connecting elements C the flanges 3 and 4 of which engage bent blade springs 6, 8 in the elements. The springs are retained by bent over projections 7 of the elements A and by bending over side walls 9 of the elements B. The projections 7 and bent over side walls 9 pass through a central opening in the connecting members. The upper blade spring 6 has a central recess 6a which engages in a space 7a between projections 7. The elements A, B have bent over end edges 5, 10. The lower element B may have a cover plate with slightly bent sides and ends to prevent injury to the skin.
