830,123. Bed-settees. PERFECTION BEDDING CO. Ltd. Aug. 28, 1958, No. 27615/58. Class 52(2) A settee convertible into a double bed has a settee portion 1 with legs 2 and an extensible portion 4 with a frame 5 supported by X-form folding leg members 6 one of each pair being pivoted to the frame and the other being pivoted to an arm 8 which is pivoted to the frame 5, a manually operable lever 9 being connected to arm 8 and mounted on the same pivot. A tension spring 10 connects the leg members and arms 12 pivotally connected to each other and at one end to struts 13, 13a or frame 1 or frame 5 have the other end movable in a slot in the strut. Movement of lever 9 causes the portion 4 to be raised or lowered and it is movable between the two positions of use on wheels 7.
