Abstract
<PICT:0828727/III/1> A paint roller 10 is rotatably supported by separate brackets or arms 13, 14 and having a part 15 adapted to lie against the side of a handle or pole 16 and to be clamped thereto by a strap or binding which embraces the handle 16, e.g. contractible rings 17, 18. The roller 10 is rotatably mounted on a spindle 11 having screw-threaded end portions 12 which receive nuts 21, which limit axial movement of the roller 10, and nuts 22, 23 which secure the arms 13, 14 to the spindle 10 and permit adjustment of the spacing of the arms 13, 14 to accommodate handles 16 of varying thickness. The rings 18, 19 may be contracted by screws 19, as shown, or by a worm mechanism.
