825,672. Hook fastenings. WALKER Ltd T. Feb. 28, 1958 [April 3, 1957], No. 10816/57. Class 43 A hook fastener for attaching to wearing apparel such as one end of a trouser waistband comprises a tongue 10 having prongs 5, 6, 7 for clenching over a back plate 13 and a bent under part 3 which contacts the material and raises the tongue above the material for the entry of a staple, bar or eye, the part 3 acting as a stop for the staple, bar or eye. The tongue 18 may have a rear flange 19 and the prongs have shoulders 22, 24 for contacting the material and raising the tongue from the material. The prong 23 acts as a stop. The back plate 29 may be cranked to raise the tongue 27 comprising a flat plate from the surface of the material, the cranked part forms the stop. Specification 777,137 is referred to.
