Abstract

808,615. Container closures. BLANC, H., METALWARENFABRIK [trading as BLANC & CO.]. Aug. 22, 1957 [Sept. 25, 1956 ; April 3, 1957], No. 26593/57. Class 125(3). A cover or closure 12 for a milk can 10 has a metal centre part 15 with indentation 16 bridged by a handle 13 and an annular rim 18 bent to form annular groove 20, and a neck part 14 of synthetic resin and having a flange 22 engaging in groove 20. The inner surface of part 15 is coated with synthetic resin 23 integral with the part 14. In a modification, Fig. 2, the cover 30 is dome shaped and in another modification, Fig. 3, the neck part 53 has a flange 54 fitting in groove 20 and a reinforced edge 55 engaged by a retaining ring 58 which is welded at 60 to the middle part 15.
