Abstract
800,023. Side-delivery rakes. VAN DER LELY N. V., C. Oct. 11, 1954 [Oct. 16, 1953], No. 13251/56. Divided out of 800021. Class 6(3). A rake-wheel, for a side-delivery rake of the rotary rakewheel type, is provided with resilient tines 37, 38 each of which includes a loop 39 at an intermediate point in its length hooked around an adjacent tine 40. Pairs of tines are formed from single lengths of wire which are bent double to form two spokes 35 extending between a hub 32 and a rim 33 of the rake-wheel, the spokes 35 being held by bolts 34 secured over bends in the centre of the wires. Beyond the rim the wires are bent nearly tangentially to form portions 37, 40 these portions passing into the outermost crop-engaging parts 38, 41 at the loops 39, 42. The parts 37 are nearly perpendicular to both the spokes 35 and the outer parts 38, 41.
