Relates to a haymaking machine of the type having a plurality of rake-wheels arranged obliquely to the line of travel and driven by ground-contact. According to the Specification each rake-wheel has a central part from which tines extend, each tine being hooked around a neighbouring tine between the central part and its free outer end, there being no rim provided on the wheel. In one form shown, the central part comprises a disc 5 secured to a hub 1 rotatable on an axle 4 and a further disc 6 having apertures 14 which may be aligned with corresponding apertures 12 in the disc 5 and through which the bent ends 16 of the tines are inserted and are secured therein by a clamping ring 11 bolted to the disc 5. Each tine has a radial portion 17 which is bent at 20 to form a tangential portion 21 and bent again around an adjacent tine 18, at 22, finally extending rearwardly at 23 relatively to the direction of rotation. In a modification, Fig. 3, the innermost portions 30 of the tines extend substantially tangentially to the clamping ring which is composed of segments 32, and the outermost tine-portions 24 are hooked.
