795,867. Door checks; catches. PRESSED STEEL CO., Ltd. March 7, 1956 [March 9, 1955], No. 6879/55. Classes 44 and 65(1) A check strip and holder for a vehicle door comprises an arm 34 pivoted at one end to the door jamb 12 and passing through apertures in the door members 17, 18 and in the housing 23, the other end of the arm carrying a resilient buffer 38. The housing 23 carries spring urged flanged rollers 28, 29, which may be of nylon, which embrace the edges of the arm 34, engaging recesses 40, 41 therein to hold the door open after checking its movement by the abutment of buffer 38 with the housing 23.
