Abstract

796,061. Roller conveyers. KERR & CO. (MANCHESTER), Ltd., J. May 29, 1956 [April 2, 1955], No. 9669/55. Class 78 (1). The ends of the non-rotatable axle 14 of a roller 15 are seated in housings 12 in the side frame members 10, one of which contains a spring 13 and is of greater length than the other to permit removal of the roller by axial displacement of the axle against the spring followed by angular displacement. Each housing 12 is in the form of a hollow cylinder with one closed end and a peripheral flange 12a on the open end. Each fits loosely in a hole 11 drilled in the side member. The ends of each roller are sealed by rubber pads 19.
