793,110. Hinged handles. CAGO, Ltd., [formerly CAGO SALES, Ltd.]. May 24, 1956 [May 25, 1955], No. 15029/55. Class 61. A holder for a saw blade comprises a tool mounting member 12 and a grip member 11 hinged at 13 and adapted to be secured in adjusted angular position about the hinge axis. Hinge barrels 15, 16; 18, 19 formed respectively on each member 11, 12 are mounted on the hinge pin 21, the barrels being relatively movable axially on the pin 21 prior to tightening the assembly. The barrels 16, 19 are provided with interengaging teeth 17 which are secured in engagement by a wing nut 34 screwing on the end of the bolt 21. A pad-saw blade 27 is mounted on the member 12 by a screw 32, having a square shank portion 35, and wing nut, the screw passing through a counterbored hole 24 in the member 12 and through a square hole in the blade. The blade 27 is angularly adjustable relatively to the member 12 into positions spaced 30 degrees apart by selective engagement of an open-ended slot 30 in the blade with spaced projections 28 arcuately arranged with respect to the hole 24. The Provisional Specification states also that the invention is applicable to files and scrapers.
