Abstract

792,081. Swash-plate pumps. AUTOLIFTS & ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. Sept. 13, 1954 [June 12, 1953], No. 16197/53. Class 102(1). In a swash-plate pump, the pistons 15 are arranged in stationary cylinders and driven through rods 16 from a swash plate 6 mounted on a bearing 22 carried by a shaft 3 that also drives a rotary distributing valve 7 which controls the inlet of the liquid from the chamber 11 to the pump cylinders and the delivery to the outlet 12. A liquid supply connection 13 is attached to the chamber 11. The swash plate is prevented from turning by a projection 23 engaging a groove 24. The spherical ends 17, 18 of the rods 16 engage the pistons and swash plate respectively and the ends 17 are smaller to enable the sleeves 19 to be passed along the rods.
