[Also in Group XXIX] The valve plate engaged by the end face of the cylinder block of a swash plate pump is mounted so as to follow any tilting movement of the cylinder block and at least the high pressure port is connected to the outlet by a tubular connector the hydraulic forces acting on the valve plate being so arranged that there is no resultant tilting moment on the plate relative to the block.
