Abstract

788,766. Winch drums. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG AKT.- GES. Feb. 3, 1956 [Feb. 16, 1955], No. 3425/56. Class 78 (5). [Also in Group XXXIV] An overhung cable drum 1 is rotatably supported from a fixed structure 8 by a ballbearing 5 the outer race of which is formed on the rim gear 2 of the driving gear of the drum and the inner race of which is secured by three spaced bolts 9 to the structure 8. The inner race consists of two parts 6, 7 which facilitates their assembly. The drum 1 is integral with the rim gear 2. In a modification, shown in Fig. 2, a ballbearing 10 has a greater diameter than a drum 11 and a driving gear 12 is screwed to a flange on the drum.
