833,114. Turntables. AMAGASAKI SEITETSU KABUSHIKI KAISHA. Dec. 20, 1957, No. 39594/57. Class 104 (2). In a turntable, comprising a structure 1, 2, one or more circular rails 3 and a plurality of wheels mounted on the structure 1 and engaging the rails 3 each wheel comprises a body secured to the structure 1 and a generally conical wheel member 4 provided with an anti-derailing flange and the wheel member 4 is mounted on the body about an axis inclined with respect to the vertical by about 30 to 40 degrees. In a modification, shown in Fig. 5, the inner sets of wheels 4 are provided with anti-derailing flanges and run on circular rails 3 while the outer sets of wheels 4<SP>1</SP> engage a flat concrete floor 31 and are not provided with flanges. The turntable is driven and/or braked, Fig. 4, by rollers 42, through electric motors 43 and gearboxes 44 engaging flanges 41 depending from the structure 1. Specification 827,573 is referred to.
