Abstract

778,084. Stoves. TAYLOR & CO. (IRONFOUNDERS), Ltd., R. Oct. 28, 1955 [Sept. 13, 1954], No. 26397/54. Class 126 A stove or range having a firedoor 8, Fig. 3, is provided with an auxiliary door or deflector plate 11 supported at its lower edge on pivots 9 projecting inwardly from the sides of the door frame 7 and adjustable into an inclined position to direct the ashes into the ashpan. The lower edge of the plate 11 is formed with enlargements 18, Fig. 4, having slots for the pivots 9, while its side edges are formed with notches 12 adapted to pass over lugs 13 on the door frame. In its closed position, the deflector plate is located between the lugs 13 and additional lugs 14 on the door frame. The plate is adjustable into either of two inclined positions by a hook 20.
