Abstract

1,087,296. Fireplace door. J. L. DAVIES. Sept. 25, 1964, No. 15715/67. Divided out of 1,087,294. Heading F4W. A door for a fireplace or stove comprises spaced-apart heat-resistant glass panels 15, 16 supported by slotted gaskets 17 in a frame 4. Air enters through the slot 18 in the lower gasket 17 and issues from a slot 18 in the upper gasket. The inner panel 16 is formed from vertical strips so spaced that they contact at their vertical edges when the door is heated.
