A side-delivery rake of the type having oblique rotary rakewheels driven by ground-contact is characterized in that the rake-wheels have deformable peripheries so that several rake-teeth may be simultaneously in ground-contact. In figure 1 the wheels 16, 17 are carried in pairs on a two-armed frame 10, 11 pivoted to the front of a tractor 1 about a horizontal axis 5, the arms being integral with a pivoted boss 9 which is adjustable vertically on a vertical support 6. Each rake-wheel comprises a hub 14 connected by spokes 19 to a rim 20. Arms 23 are pivoted to the rim and to tubular bushes 26 to which are attached tines 27, the tines being all interconnected by continuous undulated spring 28 carrying further tines 29. In Figure 3, rake wheels 43, 44 are mounted on stub-axles 31, 32, 33, 34 rigidly projecting rearwardly from a frame 35. The frame is mounted floatingly on castors 39, 40 attached by spring- loaded parallelogram-linkages 41 to the frame 35. Each rake-wheel in this modification comprises a flexible spring-band 45 carrying tines 50 on its outer side and provided on its inner side with radial projections 46 each linked at its end to the rim 52 of an inner wheel structure 43 comprising a hub 51 and spokes 53.
