Abstract

745,391. Spring-clip fasteners. F. T. PRODUCTS, Ltd. June 14, 1954 [April 30, 1953], No. 11977/53. Class 44. [Also in Group XXII] A fastener formed by shearing and bending a strip of metal has a pair of arms 29, 30 integral with and upstanding from a head 34 bowed concavely on the side carrying the arms 29, 30 which have prongs 31, 32 directed inwardly and towards the head 34. The tips of the arms 29, 30 are splayed outwardly. The fastener is rust-proof and resilient. The Provisional Specification describes three other modifications. The first is similar to that described above, but has outwardly-directed prongs. In the second, Fig. 7, a strip is bent and sheared to form a fastener similar to that described above but the head 34 is formed of a double thickness of metal and instead of being bowed has spring projections 25, 26. In the third, Fig. 10, a single arm 41 having a hooked end 42 is integral with and upstands from a bowed head 40.
