737,969. Two-stroke engines, valve gear, fuel-injection pumps. HANNOVERSCHE MASCHINENBAU-AKT.-GES. VORM. G. EGESTORFF, HANOMAG. Sept. 15, 1953 No. 25530/53. Classes 7(2), 7(3) and 7(6). In an engine comprising rows 1, 2 of cylinders disposed in V-formation, the cylinders are individually mounted on the crankcase 3, and each row of cylinders is enclosed by a scavenging-air receiver 9, e.g. comprising a C or U-shaped sheet metal or cast metal housing, connected to a scavenging-air receiver 10, mounted on the crankcase and between the rows of cylinders. The receiver 10 may carry a scavenging-air blower 14 and injection pumps 15 and be provided with a tunnel enclosing a camshaft 12 mounted in bearings 13 seating on a facing 11 of the crankcase, the axis of the camshaft lying in the plane of the facing. The receivers 9, 10 may be connected by a sealing plate forming the top cover of the receivers and held between the cylinders and cylinder heads 17.
