714,669. Forcing liquids by gaseous pressure. POLLET, R. M. A. J. Nov. 4, 1952 [Nov. 7, 1951; April 11, 1952], No. 27785/52. Class 102 (2). In apparatus for atomising liquids, the liquid is contained in a container under gaseous pressure and the outlet is controlled by a valve in which either the closure member or the seat is carried by a distortable member exposed to the pressure in the container to ensure a tight closure. Fig. 1 shows the valve stem 15 secured to the flexible base 2 of the container 1; the valve is opened by a lever 17 pivoted on the edge of the container. Alternatively, the valve seat may be carried by a flexible top of the container and the closure member connected to a rigid part. Fig. 6 shows the valve fitted to the closure 51 for the container in which the valve stem 56, grooved at 58, is screwed into the rigid part 53 and the seat 59 is carried by the distortable member 60 attached to another distortable member 61 that it attached to the closure 51; the valve is opened by pressing the member 61.
