Class 79(2) [Also in Group XXXII] In a motor vehicle drive transmission system in which the drive is transmitted to the driving wheels without the use of a differential gear, there are provided parts which in addition to being rotatable are elastically yieldable, the parts being capable of absorbing substantially all of the rolling differences of the wheels as the vehicle travels along a curvilinear path and substantially all of the vertical movements of the wheels consequent under road surfaces irregularities. The parts may be formed as rubber drive shafts or as rubber torque members inserted between rigid shaft sections. U.S.A. Specification 2,039,378 is referred to.
