Abstract
704,554. Crank shafts. AUTOTRAC, Ltd. May 23,.1951, No. 12031/51. Class 80 (2) [Also in Group XXVII] A crankshaft 17 forms a rotary inlet valve for a two-stroke crank case compression internalcombustion engine and is formed with a passage 35 extending through the shaft 17, crank 12, crank pin 16 and crank 13, which 'passage registers periodically with a port 32 to admit air or combustible mixture to the crank case. A port 36 is provided with a lip 36a which traps lubricating oil particles in the air or mixture stream and helps to lubricate the big-end bearings. The crank shaft is seated at one end in. a roller. bearing 19 and at the other in a sleeve bearing 20.
