659,329. Carburetting apparatus; valves. RASMUSSEN, J. S. March 15, 1949, No. 7084. Convention date, March 16, 1948. [Classes 7(ii), 7(iii) and 7(vi)] [Also in Group XXVI] In a two-stroke internal combustion engine having a crankshaft 13 supported by a bearing 15 on one side only of the crank and wherein the admission of the explosive mixture to the crank-case is controlled by a valve 1 rotating with the crankshaft and regulated automatically by a centrifugal shutter (see Group XXVI), the carburetter 10 has no external mechanical controls and is disposed internally of the engine within a suction chamber 16 to which air is admitted through a filter 11. The latter may be closed by a sector shaped shutter 17 to facilitate starting.
