Abstract

701,090. Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure. HEATH, Ltd., W. H., and YOUNG, H. P. Sept. 23, 1952, No. 23831/52. Class 102 (2). In apparatus for dispensing beer from a container E through pipe G and tap H by gaseous pressure from a bottle A, the bottle is fitted with two reducing valves B, C, the valve C reducing the pressure to a low value and being connected by pipe L to the container E and the valve B reducing the pressure to a higher value and being connected to the container by a pipe M in which is interposed a valve actuated manually by a plunger P. The outlet of the manually actuated valve is connected to a pressure gauge R which is mounted, together with the plunger P, adjacent the tap H. To increase the flow of beer, the operator presses the plunger P to raise the pressure to the container E.
