698,992. Stoppers. SODUVOC SOC., A.R.L. Oct. 23, 1951 (Oct. 27, 1950; June 4, 1951], No. 24730/51. Class 125(iii) A bottle stopper 5 of a resilient plastic such as polystyrene consists of a skirt 6 connected by a thinner portion' 7 with a capsule 8 having an inner cylindrical portion 9 which engages inside the neck 1 of the bottle. To open the bottle pressure is exerted upwardly on a lug 10 to tear off the thinner portion 7 and remove the capsule 8 which may be used to close the bottle again. In a modification the skirt consists of vertical tongues extending from the annular portion 7 to a lower collar.
